    It brings me sadness to let everyone know that Melissa Hirt a good friend of mine and Industry icon of Elk products has passed away from cancer last Saturday. She will be deeply missed, in no more pain and resting in peace now. There will be a Celebration of life on Sunday June 24 at the following: Sierra 2 Center 2791 24th Street Sacramento, CA 95818 3:00pm-6:00pm Celebration of life for Melissa Hirt

    It's with great pleasure that we are able to announce the 2018 CAA & SVAA scholarship winner Mia Esche. On tuesday May 29th SVAA President Ben Martinez and Treasurer Deric Morrow presented Mia with the $1000 check for her essay she submitted and won 1st place for our association.

    Today our sitting president Ben Martinez presented the SVAA's longtime past president Mark Simpson with a Plaque of recognition for all the service and support he gave to the industry during his presidency. Mark continues to work in the industry and more specifically has moved to join his nearer association in Sacremento. Mark we thank you for the many years and look forward to working with you for many more
