Benefits of Membership in Your California Alarm Association

WITH ONE MEMBERSHIP you belong to three associations: (1) a Local Alarm Association, (2) the California Alarm Association (CAA) and (3) the Electronic Security Association (ESA)

THE CAA AND ITS 11 LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS MONITOR STATE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS AND LOCAL ORDINANCES. Licensing requirements do change and as a member you are kept informed. We also work on your behalf with cities throughout the state of California to watchdog local ordinances (and fines).

INSURANCE IS A SIGNIFICANT EXPENSE FOR EVERY ALARM COMPANY. Through your state and national associations you have access to special rates for liability, errors and omissions, group medical and automobile and truck insurance and with discounted rates and premiums.

ALARM MANGEMENT PROGRAMS and literature are available to assist your company and your subscribers to ensure appropriate response to calls for service from alarm owners.

LEGISLATION affects everyone in the alarm industry and through your associations you have representation at the state and national levels of government. The CAA works for your best interests in Sacramento and in Washington D.C.

LEGAL COUNSEL for the CAA keeps members informed on issues that impact your business.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING classes are scheduled in various locations throughout the state. The classes are conducted and certified by the ESA’s National Training School (NTS) and sponsored by the CAA. Members received reduced registration fees.

NEWSLETTERS to keep you informed are published by the CAA and the ESA. The Mirror, the monthly newsmagazine of the CAA, contains articles and columns that provide substantive information, practical tips and product information. The Mirror is considered to be the premier alarm association newsletter in the country because of its content and frequency of publication.

MEETINGS OF YOUR LOCAL ASSOCIATION AND CAA CONVENTIONS give you the opportunity to meet in workshops and seminars with your peers to learn and to exchange ideas on topics relative to your business. Network!

PUBLIC RELATIONS activities disseminate positive information about the alarm industry to consumer and law enforcement agencies. The CAA and ESA are dedicated to the growth and professionalism of our industry.

These are only some of the benefits derived from membership in your trade associations. Benefiting your bottom line and enhancing your professionalism is what your associations provide you through their programs. And, working with your industry colleagues is what we are all about.
